Sometimes life throws you a curveball – or in my case, a nasty bug that knocked me out for nearly a week. After an unexpected hiatus that had many of you wondering where your weekly dose of Almost Famous Radio went, I'm back in the humble backyard studio with a Modelo in hand and exciting plans to share.
First off, thank you for your patience during our brief absence. Getting sick from Saturday through Wednesday completely derailed our recording schedule, but I'm nearly back to 100% and absolutely itching to return to our regular programming. The silver lining? This unexpected break gave me time to line up some fantastic guests for our upcoming episodes as we launch into our second year of podcasting.
Next week will bring the return of fan-favorites Jason and Katie to the studio, with "the Ricker" scheduled for later this month. We nearly pulled off an impromptu episode with the Ricker and El Dude today, but scheduling didn't quite work out. I've also been chatting with Carolyn, Jody, and possibly even Rayette's daughter Shaina about upcoming appearances. Ron "Do It Live" Stanley will be back as well! Beyond our content plans, we're expanding our digital footprint – you can now find us on TikTok where we're posting sound bites with more video content coming soon! I'm Jeffy McJefferson, here in the humble backyard studio by myself right now. So, yes, I go around the room one more time, even though I'm the only one in the room I am. I have some Modelo cerveza. I love that stuff, man kind of. It's kind of like I'm getting back into the beer drinking.
Speaker 1:Actually, I am doing a little short update here just because, um, if some of you noticed that we did not have an episode last week, I got sick and I was out and for the better part of them you know sick from Saturday on until probably Wednesday Wasn't feeling very well, so had a bug battling it, got over it and I'm back to almost 100%. So we're going to get back into the swing of things here. We're going to be next week. We will have a new episode, as long as everybody stays healthy. It's been a little bit, like I said, a little rough week, but yeah. So we're going to have some of the gang here Looking, hopefully, for Jason and Katie in the Humble Backyard studio next week and that's going to be pretty fun Going to have Do it Live this month. I think we're going to get the Ricker. We almost did a show today with the Ricker and L-Dude but the L-Dude had to get going and we couldn't. It was going to be a little impromptu but it would have been a fun one. So we got a lot in store. May even bring in Rayette's daughter, shana, to do a little bit of an episode with us too. So we're getting the ball rolling for for the, for our second year of podcasting, and we can't we can't wait to get started, honestly. So I've been talking to carolyn and um jody and a lot, of, a lot of other people that you used to, you know, usually hear on here. So we're going to be back at it soon. Thank you you for your patience and that's why I'm trying to keep updated and, like I said, it really sucks that I got sick last week, but you know that's just what happens in the. You know this is what happens, you know whenever you're, you know, trying to do this and you know we're just aching to get back, that's all. So we'll talk to you soon.
